Danby station is right in the village beside the level crossing, a minute from the Duke of Wellington and the village shop. The Moors National Park Centre is a level mile east along the lane, and Danby Castle, Duck Bridge and Danby Beacon are all within walking range.

From the platform

  • Walk to The Moors Centre for the exhibitions, café and riverside trails, then on to Lealholm along the Esk Valley Walk (about five miles) and ride back.
  • The Danby Beacon circular starts from The Moors Centre.
