Goathland Hotel (the Aidensfield Arms)

The Heartbeat pub: the Goathland Hotel played the Aidensfield Arms for eighteen years and still trades on it.

The Goathland Hotel is the stone pub at the heart of the village that millions knew as the Aidensfield Arms in Heartbeat. Inside there is a bar full of memorabilia from the series and food and drink served daily. Under new ownership since 2026, the bedrooms are closed for renovation and are expected to take bookings again in spring 2027. The village greens, shops and the path to Mallyan Spout are all outside the door.
