Postgate Inn, Egton Bridge

The Postgate stands beside the platform at Egton station, which makes it the most train-friendly pub in the valley. It takes its name from Nicholas Postgate, the Catholic priest born in the village who was executed in 1679, and it appeared in Heartbeat as the Black Dog.
