Three days of intensive steam running with visiting locomotives, goods trains and late-evening services.

The railway's autumn gala brings visiting engines from around the country to join the home fleet for a packed timetable, with freight demonstrations, double-heading and photographic opportunities along the whole line. Grosmont engine sheds are at their busiest.
