Stargazing evenings, night walks, astrophotography and talks celebrating the national park's International Dark Sky Reserve status.

The North York Moors became an International Dark Sky Reserve in 2020, and every February the park celebrates with a festival of night-time events. Look out for guided stargazing at The Moors Centre in Danby, night navigation walks on the moors, astrophotography workshops, planetarium shows and family events. The Esk Valley, well away from town lights, is one of the darkest parts of the park.
