Botham's of Whitby

Elizabeth Botham opened her bakery in 1865, and her descendants still run the shops and tea rooms on Skinner Street and Baxtergate. Botham's is where Whitby buys its cakes: plum bread, Yorkshire brack, ginger loaf, lemon buns and Resolution biscuits, along with a proper pot of tea upstairs. The Skinner Street tea rooms are a quiet refuge from the harbourside crowds.
